Dar Ashjar (Alaalam Alarabi) before
Dar Ashjar was established in 2002, and mostly specialized in the field of Arabic language. Since then we have succeeded in publishing a good collection of books in
Arabic linguistics, literature and criticism. Some of these books have been selected as text books at Arabic language department s in UAE University and Jordan University.
We are also interested in publishing short stories and novels, especially for young Emirati writers. We have published two collections of short stories in association with Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Foundation as part of “Oktob” project.
Dar Alaalam Alarabi is well known as a distinctive publishing house in children literature. Our children books and stories are on the top of our publication list.
Recently we have established a “writing club” with a group of young Emirati women who are interested in writing for children. We expect this club to achieve a great success in the near future.
