Celebrate Literacy at N. Portland Library’s Children’s Book Fair

North Portland Library invites families with kids from preschool through fifth grade to the 19th Annual Children’s Book Fair: Do the Right Thing and Read!

Join library staff and community members on the back lawn of the library to celebrate literacy with free activities, music and dance performances.

Every child or teen in attendance will get a free book to take home.

 

When:

Saturday, August 26, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

 

Where:

512 N. Killingsworth St. in Portland

 

Activities Include:

Hip Hop Soulsation

Chata Addy & Shi Dah Discover the Rhythms of Ghana

Balloon twisting with Batman and Wonder Woman

Face painting by Mystique

Arts and crafts tables

Button and book making
