FJWU Book Fair to promote reading habit

Library of Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) Tuesday organized annual book fair aimed at providing an opportunity to the students and Faculty members to purchase the books of their interest under one roof and to promote book reading habit among them.
A number of vendors have displayed books related to Social Science, Science, Engineering, Urdu, Islamic Literature and others which are being sold on discounted rates.
The book fair will continue till April 12. Speaking on the occasion Vice Chancellor, FJWU Dr Samina Amin Qadir said the book fairs are very important and highly remarkable intellectual activity especially for promotion of higher education and increasing book reading habits.
It is a regular feature of the university and very well organized activity.
She appreciated efforts of the vendors who participated in the book fair and provided exposure to the students and faculty members who may not have enough inspiration to go to bookshops.
She urged the teachers to play their role in promoting the culture of book reading and all educational institutes must arrange book fairs. It is encouraging to see that the students are purchasing the books and the faculty also recommending the books in their own discipline.
A large number of students and faculty members attended the book fair and purchased books related to their interest and disciplines.
