How to publish a book
If you’re an author and do not own your own publishing house, you may enter an agreement was a licensed publisher to publish your book. Here are the steps to successfully publish a book.

How to obtain your ISBN
Service Requirements
- 1. Publishers must comply with the laws related to ISBN as soon as they receive the numbers.
- 2. Publishers must notify the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development of any changes to their institution's data.
- 3. Publishers must place ISBN numbers clearly on the cover and internal pages.
- 4. Publishers must ensure that ISBN numbers are printed in an appropriate size.
- 5. Once the book is printed, publishers must provide 5 copies to the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development within a maximum of 60 days from the date of receiving the numbers.
- 6. Your book's content will not be published on the ISBN website unless you submit five copies showing the ISBN numbers clearly.
- 7. The same ISBN number may not be used for another book, even if the same book is translated later (a new ISBN number is required).
- 8. A unique ISBN number must be assigned to each volume if the book consists of multiple volumes.
Obligation needs to be considered by the publisher after obtaining the ISBN
- 1. The publisher commits to complying with all laws related to the ISBN upon receiving it.
- 2. The publisher commits to notifying the Ministry of Culture, Knowledge Development, Youth, and Community Development in case of any changes to their institution or publications.
- 3. The publisher commits to printing the ISBN of the book in a clear location, whether on the cover or internal pages.
- 4. The publisher commits to using an appropriate font size when printing the ISBN.
- 5. The publisher commits to submitting five copies of the published book upon its release, within a maximum period of 60 days from the date of receiving the ISBN.
